# Expanded animal artwork

These 40 illustrations are by the [OpenMoji project](https://openmoji.org/) and its contributors, licensed under [Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/). Copyright belongs to the named contributors.

The SVGs were retrieved from the official [hfg-gmuend/openmoji repository](https://github.com/hfg-gmuend/openmoji) at commit `aeb8bb3a59e2de39c754ac79180c8131c906acea` on 2026-10-25. The modified SVGs remain under CC BY-SA 4.0. The project’s existing `LICENSE.txt` provides a local license copy.

Changes: transparent SVG view boxes were cropped to the alpha bounds with a 0.1-unit margin. Lobster and ladybird art was rotated 90 degrees to align the length axis horizontally. Game screens may tint the assets through CSS masks. No original silhouette path geometry was redrawn.

Art depicts a generic member of the indicated animal group. It is an illustration, not a scientific diagram. Species choice, posture limitations and measurement conventions are recorded in each item’s `artNote`, `measurementLabel` and `measurementNote`. Biological sizes and their evidence URLs are in `src/data/animals-expanded.json`; the artwork source is not the source of biological dimensions.

The classic catalog and its existing SVGs are unchanged.
