Size comparisons of Solar System giants
Gas giants, ice giants and the Sun stretch your intuition across a much larger scale.

Inside Giants of the Solar System
Compare planetary bodies without rings; finish with the difficult Jupiter-to-Sun jump.
Compare planets and our star on one scale
Gas giants, ice giants and the Sun make up this collection, with Earth providing a familiar reference in one round. Treat each circular outline as a diameter to estimate. The game separates size from the distances between these objects so their measurements can share a readable stage.
Leave rings and the corona outside the measurement
Saturn’s reference measures the planetary body without its rings. The Sun uses its reference photospheric diameter, excluding the corona, and Jupiter uses the stated equatorial diameter from the 2026 Juno result. Read these conventions before comparing figures from another chart, which may use mean or polar diameter.
Learn the references, then try again
Every reveal explains the measurement and links to its source. These five pairs keep the same order when you replay, with a separate best score for this collection saved in your browser.
